Boutique Hotels: Boutique hotels are an excellent choice because they are small and intimate. They usually have a nice pool, restaurant, and bar where you can meet and socialize with other guests easily. Moderate pricing and personalized service make boutique hotels a great option.
Resorts: Resorts are in abundance in any beach location. In the Papagayo area all of the larger resorts are off on their own and most have their own beach. You can choose all inclusive resorts which include all your meals, snacks, beverages, and alcoholic drinks. The non-inclusive option would require you to purchase all of these things separately. Resorts usually incorporate activities and entertainment for guests and is a self contained environment. The Occidental Grand Papagayo is the best choice for the all inclusive option, and the Four Seasons Papagayo Peninsula is the nicest choice for non-all inclusive.
Rental Properties: Rent a condo, villa, or house and have the convenience of a full kitchen and complete privacy. This option is great for families or groups traveling together as it saves money not only on the accommodation itself, but the food and drink expenses as well. Options in this category range from studio condos all the way up to seven bedroom homes.
